Step It Up Speed and Agility Youth Camps
Step It Up Speed and Agility Camps are designed to teach youth how to enhance their speed, agility, coordination, strength, and balance to improve their athleticism. Campers will focus specifically on foot quickness, stride frequency, kinesthetic sense, balance, multidirectional speed, age-appropriate body strengthening, coordination, flexibility, and acceleration. Each day the camp will end with a game. This game will incorporate all of the skills taught so that campers can apply what has been learned to sport movement – outside of a drill.
Each week-long session will be conducted by a staff of certified instructors, lead by Harold Hilliard. For the past 15 years, he has worked in various fitness capacities for The Lovett School and Whitefield Academy, where he currently serves as the physical education department chair and strength and conditioning coordinator. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and a master’s degree from Shorter College. Harold also holds the highest certification in the strength and conditioning field – a Strength and Conditioning Specialist with Distinction, from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
